Special trapezoid control arms and shock absorbers are used for the rear axle. This allows for increased trunk space with a comfortable flat floor.
The unit acts similarly to the air suspension installed in the A8. But, unlike the A8 and A7, there are several systems to choose from. At the same time, the air suspension compressor, bellows, air suspension valve block, etc. are identical in the A7/S7/RS7: the differences are in the software settings. If the air suspension works properly, you can adjust the body position as follows:
- When driving on a bad roads, choose the "Lift" mode to prevent damage.
- The “Dynamic” mode lowers the body, which reduces the center of gravity, and improves control.
- In "Auto" mode, the suspension changes the position of the body automatically if the car travels at a certain speed for more than thirty seconds.
